Micah Pihl
Micah Wilson  Pihl, 38,  passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 8, 2016 at the Wellstar Tranquility Hospice Center in Kennesaw after a brief severe illness, though he bravely and courageously endured many long years of ill health after being diagnosed as young child with diabetes.
Micah was one of Jehovah’s Witnesses, faithfully and whole-heartedly serving Jehovah God for over two decades, having been baptized as a young man in his teens, and just recently having been appointed as a Ministerial Servant, indicative of his fine standing and hard work demonstrated in the local congregation, Henderson Mountain, of which he was a member now for over 5 years.
There will be a Memorial Service for Micah on Saturday, September 17, 2016 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses at 971 Cove Rd, Jasper, GA at 2:00PM with an accompanying Bible discussion of the hope that Micah embraced for a glorious future on a paradise earth, free from all the infirmities that he experienced throughout his life based on the sure promises that Jehovah God offers all those are willing to faithfully serve him.
Micah was preceded in death by his Father, Fred Pihl and is survived by his mother Annette Pihl; his brothers, Fred Jr, Carl, and Stephen; his sister, Rebecca Montgomery; his uncle, Dan Pihl; many nieces and nephews and cousins, and a host of family and friends both in the communities in which he has lived and within the worldwide congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses.  Micah was originally from New England, having spent a good portion of his life growing up and around New Milford, New Hampshire and having graduated from high school there, but he developed a fond love of the North Georgia mountains and after moving here he joyfully made it his new home.
Micah will be fondly remembered by all those  who knew him for his positive attitude despite his infirmities and his pleasant smile, his warmth and genuineness, and especially in the congregation for his heartfelt and meaningful expressions of his deep love for his creator, Jehovah God.  All who knew Micah will miss him dearly and we look forward to being reunited with a healthy and strong Micah in the future resurrection.
