    Mrs. Barbara Logan, 76, of Talking Rock, passed away Saturday November 19, 2016 at Seasons Hospice in Cumming. Mrs. Logan is survived by her husband, Cliff Logan of Talking Rock; son, Nakia Logan of Cartersville; brother, Raymond Mull of Fort Smith, AR; sisters, Marlene Mathis of Rome, Linda Fendley of Jasper, and Lillian Woodring of Ellijay; grandchildren, Kiera and Kendra Logan; and several nieces and nephews.
    The funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Monday, November 21st from the chapel of Cagle Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Reece officiating. Interment at Whitestone Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers were Nakia Logan, Shane Fendley, Don Easley, Dave Easley, Thomas Mathis and Chris Rooker.

John Pickles III
May 18, 1949 - November 23, 2016
    Mr. John F. Pickles III, 67, of Marble Hill, passed away Wednesday November 23, 2016 at Season's Hospice in Cumming.
    Mr. Pickles is survived by his daughter, Christina and Joel Perez of Sunrise, FL; wife, Statia of Marble Hill; ex-wife, Cathy Pickles of Tamarac, FL; sisters, Pamela, Susan, and Lois; and grandchildren, Marsel, Adrian, and Drew of Sunrise, FL.
    A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date.

Gregory Duckett
August 27, 1954 - November 20, 2016
    Mr. Gregory Duckett, 62, of Marble Hill, passed away Sunday November 20, 2016 at Piedmont Mountainside Hospital.
    Mr. Duckett is survived by his mother, Edna Duckett of Nelson; sons, Gabriel Duckett of Jasper, Kyle Duckett of Marble Hill, and Jacob Duckett of Dawsonville; daughter, Kimberly Duckett of Tennessee; brothers, Carl Duckett of Jasper, Terry Duckett of Marble Hill, and Richard Duckett of Nelson; sisters, Gail Schien of Marble Hill, Sharon Smith of Marble Hill and Brenda Duckett of Marble Hill; grandchildren, Caitlyn Wingfield, Cassie Duckett, and Sabrina Duckett; great-grandchild, Jackson Wingfield; and several nieces and nephews.
    The funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, November 23rd from the chapel of Cagle Funeral Home. Interment at Arbor Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers were Doug Ryder, Jesse Welchel, Casey Duckett, Casey Howell, Trent Henson, Rodney Smith, and honorary pallbearers were Jeff Bell and Zack Duncan.

Donald Campbell
March 25, 1937 - November 22, 2016

    Mr. Donald Robert Campbell, 79, of Jasper, passed away Tuesday November 22, 2016 at Piedmont Mountainside Hospital.
    Mr. Campbell is survived by his wife, Henrietta Campbell of Jasper; son, Arch Campbell of Cumming; daughter, Sharon Campbell of Jasper; and grandchildren, Brooklyn Campbell and Gage Campbell.
    The funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Sunday, November 27th at Mt. Zion Baptist Church with Rev. Ben Mock and Walter Sandell officiating. Interment at Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery in Cherokee County. Pallbearers were Jimmy Moore, Mason Moore, Billy Gunter, Jason Whidby, Bobby Elrod, and Jack Williams.

Minnie Berdie Millsap
November 14, 1921 - November 23, 2016
    Mrs. Minnie Berdie Millsap, age 95 of Jasper, passed away on Wednesday, November 23 2016 at Canton Nursing Home in Canton.  She is survived by her husband, Leonard Millsap of Jasper; sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Sara Chumley of Jasper; Rex and Linda Millsap of Roswell; sisters, Jane Keel of Florida, and June O’Shields of  Jasper; grandchildren, Lana Callahan, Tommy Chumley, and Tina Chumley; great-grandchildren Joe Chumley, Abbey Callahan, and Claire Callahan.  Several nieces, nephews, and a host of friends also survive.
    Graveside services will be held on Saturday, November 26, 2016 beginning at 4:00 p.m. at Sunrise Memorial Gardens with Rodney Gibson officiating. Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 26 from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at Roper Funeral Home.
    Arrangements have been entrusted to the Staff of Roper Funeral Home.  

Mary Dean Godfrey

July 20, 1934 – November 27, 2016
   Mrs. Mary Dean Godfrey, age 82 of Jasper, passed away Sunday morning, November 27, 2016 at Grandview Health Care Center.
    She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Godfrey; sisters, Lola Dell Emory, Kathleen Watkins; brothers, Doyle Parker, Jack Parker, Delmer Parker, and Darrell Parker.
    She is survived by her sons and daughter-in-law, Jackie and Sandy Godfrey of Tate, David Godfrey of Talking Rock; grandchildren, Stacey Godfrey, Joseph Godfrey, Tiffany and Jamie Cook, Cody Godfrey; great-grandchildren, Eli Cook, Kyleigh Cook, Makenzi Childers, Riley Godfrey, Angel Godfrey, Noah Cook; sisters and brothers-in-law, Nancy and Jim Spence, Helen and Clinton Walker, Dorothy Mae Henderson; brother, Jerry Parker; sisters-in-law, Betty Godfrey, Mildred Garner, Ruby Daughtery, Jewell Godfrey, Lowree Godfrey, and Barbara Godfrey.
    Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at the Chapel of Roper Funeral Home with Reverend Danny Townsend officiating.  Interment will follow in the Talking Rock Baptist Church Cemetery. 
    The family will be receiving friends at Roper Funeral Home on Monday from 12:00 noon until 9:00 p.m. and on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon.

Ruby Jo Greene
October 21, 1933 – November 27, 2016

    Ruby Jo Greene, age 83 of Jasper, passed away Sunday, November 27, 2016 at Pruitt Health in Jasper.  She was born in Pickens County, October 21, 1933 to John and Hattie Dean.
    Ruby is survived by her sons and daughter-in-law, Ronnie and Lynn West of Canton, Tommy West and Sherri Kemball of Canton; grandsons, Adrian West (Kasey), Timothy West (Lavonna), Daniel West (Kendra); granddaughter, Angie Giambra (Stephen); five great-granddaughters; three great-grandsons; and brother and sister-in-law, Johnny and Linda Dean.  Several nieces and nephews also survive.
    The funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m.,Wednesday, November 30, 2016 at the Chapel of Roper Funeral Home with Reverend Thomas Shipman officiating. Interment will follow at Refuge Baptist Church Cemetery.
    Visitation will be Monday night from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m., and Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until the funeral hour.
    In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Roper Funeral Home in Ruby’s name.
    Arrangements have been entrusted to the Staff of Roper Funeral Home.

Bonnie Chalker
February 5, 1931 – November 26, 2016

    Bonnie Chalker, age 85 of Jasper, passed away Saturday, November 26, 2016 at her home.
    Bonnie is survived by her son, Brian Chalker of Jasper; daughter-in-law, Jeanette Chalker of Ball Ground; sister Estelle Bearden of Ellijay; grandchildren, Alina Chalker, Christy Stobaugh, Angie Patterson, Steven Chalker, David Chalker, Crystal Chalker, and Timmy Chalker.  Several great-grandchildren also survive.  She was preceded in death by husband, James Chalker; sons, James Steven Chalker, Ronnie Chalker, and Charles Chalker.
    A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, December 4, 2016 in the Chapel of Roper Funeral Home.  The family will receive friends Sunday beginning at 1:00 p.m. at Roper Funeral Home.
    Arrangements have been entrusted to the Staff of Roper Funeral Home.
