Mr. Ronnie Stanfield, 48, of Talking Rock passed away Saturday January 6, 2018 at Grady Memorial Hospital.
Ronnie is survived by his wife, Heather Stanfield of Talking Rock; parents, Jerry & Donna Stanfield of Talking Rock; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Tim & Cathy Butler of Talking Rock; son, Davin Stanfield of Talking Rock; daughters, Sierra Stanfield, Jaiden Stanfield and Kaitlyn Butler, all of Talking Rock.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Thursday, January 11, 2018 in the Cagle Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Harold Cantrell, Rev. Edwin Weaver and Rev. Jarred Raynes officiating.
Internment followed at Sunrise Memorial Gardens following the funeral services.
Pallbearers: Daniel Butler, Sean Bozeman, James Cox, Benny Hopkins, Sam Duncan, Dean Beasley, Joel Collis and Kenneth Darby. Honorary Pallbearers: Jason Mayfield, Hank Wilson, Jeff Pyles, Teddy Duncan, David Tiny Teague and Shannon Davenport.

January 26, 1930 – January 13, 2018
Bob Stanfield, 87, of Jasper, GA passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, January 13, 2018. Bob was born January 26, 1930 to the late James and Minnie Stanfield. Bob was a member of Cross Roads Baptist Church and a 60 year Mason at Pickens Star Lodge #220. He retired from Lockheed Martin after 36 years in 1987.
He and his wife enjoyed their family, friends and traveling. Shortly after his retirement his wife developed early onset dementia. Bob took loving care of Anne with the help from his daughters until his health declined several years ago. He continued to visit her daily until this too became impossible. He was a strong, dedicated man who loved his family to the moon and back.
Bob was preceded in death by his son, Robert Michael Stanfield;, sisters, Ollie Baranoski, Cleo Walker, Hazel Austin, Alene Tinch, and Ethel Evans. He is survived by his beloved wife of 67 years, Anne Stanfield;, daughters and sons-in-law, Terri and Leon Semig, Christy and Randy Eubanks, along with three grandsons, Zach Stanfield (Ana), Cory Eubanks, and Kyle Eubanks (Brandi), five great-grandchildren, Andre Molina, Eli Eubanks, Kayla Eubanks, Brooklyn Crump and Kamdyn Eubanks; two siblings, Peggy J. Mosley, and Pete Eaton; brother-in-law, Chet Austin; many nieces, nephews and friends. He loved them all so very much.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday, January 15, 2018 at the Chapel of Roper Funeral Home with Reverend Kenneth Kirk and Reverend Buck Parker officiating. Interment will follow in Cross Roads Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mr. Brooke Kent, age 52 of Nelson passed away Saturday January 6, 2018 at his residence.
Brooke is survived by his mother and step-father, Patricia & James Queen of Nelson, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Brandy and Cody Pass of Las Vegas, NV; daughter, Kayla Kent of Calhoun, GA.
Mr. Kent is preceded in death by his father, Paul Glenneth Kent and brother, Barry Kent.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Monday, January 8, 2018 in the Cagle Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Stephen Chapman and Rev. Sanford Fountain officiating.

Ben Leslie Torrey, 88, a resident of Bent Tree in Jasper (formerly of Plantation, FL, Atlanta, GA, and Orlando, FL) passed away peacefully on Friday, January 12, 2018 at Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta. Ben was born on July 27, 1929 in Elberton, GA to Benjamin Leslie and Iris Simmons Torrey. The family moved to Atlanta while he was enrolled at North Georgia College and then he transferred to Georgia Institute of Technology before graduating from Georgia State University with a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration.
Ben and Carole moved to Jasper in 1989 after he retired from Marsh & McLennan Inc. (formerly Fred S. James) as an insurance broker, and then to Bent Tree in 1992, where a few years later he obtained his real estate license. He eventually opened Torrey Mountain Properties, specializing in home sales within Bent Tree.
A life-long Presbyterian, Ben served churches in Georgia and Florida as a Deacon at First Presbyterian Church of Orlando, FL, and Peachtree Presbyterian Church in Atlanta; then as an Elder at Plantation Presbyterian Church in Plantation, FL, and lastly Fellowship Presbyterian Church of Jasper, GA.
He was pre-deceased by his sister and brother-in-law, Betty Torrey Spencer and John Calhoun Spencer, Sr., a nephew Mark Benjamin Spencer, and by his brother-in-law and sister-in-law John Dudley and Eunice Niolet Crabb.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Carole Crabb Torrey; his sister and brother-in-law, Barbara Torrey (Sam) Peddicord; his children, David (Peggy) Torrey, John (Tiffanie Doana - fiance) Torrey, and Karen (Tim) Beckmann; his grandchildren, Beth (Thomas) Burch, Georgia and Abigail Beckmann; and his great-grandson, Ames Burch.
A memorial service will be officiated by Rev. Ben Laughlin at Fellowship Presbyterian Church 389 Bent Tree Dr, Jasper, GA 30143 on Friday, January 19 at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Fellowship Presbyterian Church or the American Cancer Society.

Mr. Grady Dean, 78, of Jasper passed away Thursday January 11, 2018 at Woodstock Nursing Center.
Mr. Dean is survived by his brothers, Kenneth Dean of Ball Ground, Thurman Lee Dean of Macedonia and James Dean of Canton; sisters, Lafaye Moore of Canton, Louise Atkins of Chamblee, Mildred Rice of Hirham and Betty Ardron of Ball Ground.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, January 13, 2018 in the Cagle Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Larry Kelley and Rev. Harold Cantrell officiating.
Interment followed at Arbor Hills Baptist Church Cemetery.
