Annie Vincent
Mrs. Annie Lou ?Ann? Vincent, age 83 of Fairmount, Ga., departed this life Tuesday afternoon, August 24, 2010 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Ann was born Sept. 28, 1926 in Gilmer County, Ga., a daughter of the late Joseph and Lula Mae Gibson Stafford. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Bryan ?Bossie? Vincent; son-in-law, Edward Sanford; her brothers, Oren, J.S., Elihue and Hillard Stafford; and sisters, Eva Southerland, Grace Wilkins and Opal Duckett Lanning.
Survivors include her daughters, Alice Carol Vincent and JoAnn Sanford, both of Fairmount; sister, Minnie Lee Nicholson, Ellijay; and sisters-in-law, Frances Stafford, Jasper, and Sarah Headrick, Dalton. Several beloved nieces and nephews and many special friends also survive.
A service to celebrate her life was held Friday, August 27 at 2 p.m. from the Fairmount Chapel of Ponders Funeral Home with the Revs. Jerrold Young and Spencer Evans officiating. Music was arranged by Sally Jones. She was laid to rest beside her beloved husband at Johnson Cemetery. Pallbearers were: Earnest Ledford, Hubert Lillard, Larry Nicholson, J.P. and Brandon Davis and Harry Pierce.

Pamela Willes
Ms. Pamela Susan Willes, age 57 of Ball Ground, Ga., died Wednesday, August 25, 2010, at the Emory Medical Center in Atlanta, Ga. following a sudden illness.
Ms. Willes was born on April 10, 1953 in California.
Survivors include her sisters, Julieann Willes and Christine Denari, both of Los Angeles, Ca., and Carolyn Alves of Citrus Heights, Ca.; and her fiance, Jerry Blackwell, Ellijay, Ga. A memorial service was held at 2 p.m. Sunday, August 29 from Foothills Community Church with the Rev. John Reale officiating. Roper Funeral Home of Jasper was in charge of the arrangements.

Grover Anderson
Grover S. Anderson, age 81 of Pickens County, formerly of Dawsonville, died Thursday August 26, 2010 at Green Acres Nursing Center in Milledgeville following an extended illness.
Mr. Anderson was born Dec. 12, 1928 in Lumpkin County to the late Grover and Florence Anderson. He owned and operated Andy?s Barber Shop in Atlanta until retiring in 1998. Grover was loved by everyone, was an avid outdoorsman who loved bicycling. He had a very outgoing personality, a great sense of humor and always had a fast Ford which was never caught by the revenuers.
Surviving are his sons and daughters-in-law, Daniel and Cindy Anderson, Milledgeville, Jerry and Michelle Anderson, Twin Falls, Id., and Marvin and Josie Anderson, Cumming; and grandchildren, Ricky, Shannon, Christopher, Jake, Bodie, Andy, Chase and Katty.
The funeral service was held Monday, August 30 at 2 o?clock from Bearden Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Bobby Whitmire officiating. Interment followed in New Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery.

Glenn Cheshire
Glenn E. Cheshire, age 71 of Ball Ground, Ga., passed away Wednesday, August 25, 2010 at Brian Center Nursing Home.
Mr. Cheshire retired from Haynes Lumber Company. He was a licensed minister of Sharp Mountain Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Judy Cheshire; children, Jack (Becky) Cheshire and Jimmy (Caitlyn) Cheshire, all of Ball Ground, Linda (Eddie) Davis, Jasper, and Brenda Shirley, Dawsonville; grandchildren, Alicia, Ashley, Amberley, Kelly, Carmen and Jamie Lee; great-grandchildren, Westin, Haven and Levi; and brother, Marvin (Louise) Cheshire, Ball Ground.
The funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Saturday, August 28 from Sharp Mountain Baptist Church with the Revs. Larry Waddell and O?Neal Evans officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery. Sosebee Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Jason Angel
Roper Funeral Home announces the death of Mr. Jason Angel, age 34 of Jasper, who passed away August 27, 2010.
Survivors include his wife, Karen Angel, Jasper; parents, Robert and Verette Angel, Jasper; children, Makayla Angel, Jarred Jason Angel, Serinity Lyrik Elizabeth Angel and Jayse Daka Ely Angel, all of Jasper; step-children, Camden Alexandra Major, Jasper, and Landyn Bryce Simmons and Austin Michael Simmons, Canton; sister and brother-in-law, Angela and Robbie Martin, Jasper; nieces and nephews, Jacob, Jillian, Josiah, Jessie and Justin Martin, Brooklyn and Gracie Potter and Isiah Byrd; mothers-in-law, Brenda Byrd and Marsha Brewer; and father-in-law, Ricky Byrd. Other brothers- and sisters-in-law also survive.
The funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Tuesday from Jerusalem Baptist Church with the Rev. Mike Loner officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery. The family did accept flowers or those who desire may make contributions to the Jason Angel Memorial Fund at Community Bank of Pickens County.

Billy Rollins
Mr. Billy Rollins, age 54 of Nelson, passed away Saturday, August 28, 2010 at Kennestone Hospital.
Survivors include a sister and brother-in-law, Faye and Clifford Chastain, Talking rock; and brother and sister-in-law, Bobby and Shirley Rollins, Canton. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
The funeral service was held at 1 p.m. Monday, August 30 from the Chapel of Cagle Funeral Home with the Rev. Roger Elliott officiating. Interment followed in Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery on Hwy. 20 in the Macedonia community. Pallbearers were: Donnie, Dustin and Dalton Chastain, Jacob Henson, Lamar Young and Keith Totherow.

Ruby Duckett
Mrs. Ruby Duckett, age 72 of Jasper, passed away Sunday night, August 22, 2010.
Survivors include her son, Phil Duckett, Waleska; daughter, Patsy Parker, Jasper; brothers, Jack Stone, Jasper, Robert Stone, Calhoun, and Elbert Stone, Jasper; and sisters, Susie Young, Mary Bell Palmer and Bonnie Palmer, all of Jasper, Sandra Raffety, Kennesaw, and Margie McDaniel, Ellijay. Seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren also survive.
The funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, August 25 from the Chapel of Cagle Funeral Home with the Rev. Jess Posey officiating. Interment followed in County Line Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers were: Tony and Brian Parker, Jennings Young, Billy Boles, Bud Hollingshead and Tony Golden.

Brenda Parker
Mrs. Brenda Sue Parker, age 61 of Fairmount, passed away Saturday, August 28, 2010 at her residence following several years of declining health.
She was born on Jan. 12, 1949 in Pickens County, daughter of Mrs. Jessie Lee Timms Griffin and the late J.M. Griffin. She had been employed with the Fairmount Elementary School.
Survivors include her husband, Buddy Parker, to whom she was married for 43 years; daughters, Dana Quinn and husband Donny, Fairmount, and Donna Rogers and husband Shane, Adairsville; her mother, Mrs. Jessie Lee Griffin; sisters, Linda Dilbeck and husband Robert, Calhoun, Judy Thomas and Sharon Horner and husband Billy, all of Fairmount; and brothers, Johnny Griffin and wife Jeanie, Fairmount, and Timmy Griffin and wife Naketa, Oakman. Four grandchildren, Kenly and Dylan Rogers and Bonnie and Hunter Quinn, and nieces and nephews also survive.

Irene Goble
Mrs. Irene Goble, age 83 of Talking Rock, Ga., died Monday, August 30, 2010, at Piedmont Mountainside Hospital in Jasper, Ga., following a period of declining health.
Born Nov. 8, 1926 in Pickens County, she was the daughter of the late Patton and Vira Callahan Chastain. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Jack Goble, and a son, David Goble. Mrs. Goble was a homemaker.
Survivors include her daughters, Evelene Goble Fox, Jasper, Ora Faye Goble Nichols, Peggy Goble Southerland, Paulette Goble Watson and Margie Goble Brown, all of Talking Rock, Ga.; 14 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren; and sister, Bessie Richards, Gilmer County.
The funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 1 from Roper Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Glen Arnold and Coy Richards officiating. Interment followed in Hinton Cemetery.
