Armed robbery suspect sought by Cherokee Sheriff

     Cherokee County, Ga. May 5, 2017.   On Friday, May 05, 2017 at approximately 0349 hours Cherokee Sheriff’s deputies responded to an armed robbery call at the Quik Trip convenience store located at 4865 Holly Springs Pkwy in Canton.  It was reported that a black male entered the store and made contact with the clerk.  The male displayed a knife and demanded the cash out of the registers.

  The clerk emptied the cash out of the registers into a black shoulder bag and the male suspect exited the store.  He had an unknown direction of travel and it is unknown if he entered a vehicle at some point in time.

     The black male was described as being approximately 20 – 30 years of age with black hair and brown eyes having a goat tee style beard with a thin mustache.   He was described as wearing a long sleeve black or dark colored hoodie style sweatshirt with the words American Eagle on the front, gray shorts and light colored shoes.
