Church will move into old Miller building

Mountain City Church will be the new inhabitants of the downtown Jasper building most recently occupied by Miller & Associates following a May 24th auction.

According to Scott Schwartz of Bullseye Auction & Appraisal  company, 10 bidders were registered for the online auction of the building at 1 South Main Street.

Church pastor Chris Foglesong said an anonymous member of the congregation submitted the winning bid and purchased the building. Mountain City Church will use the space under negotiated terms. Details of these terms and the bid price were not available at press time.

“We are very excited about this, and fortunately  had a private investor with an LLC purchase the building who is excited about our vision for the space,” Foglesong said. “We will basically be one of a few tenants in the building. It’s good for the investor, good for us and we want it to be good for the community. It’s really a win-win.”

Maybe a chicken fast food restaurant could be added in one of the offices!

That's really funny and clever. Did you think that up all by yourself?
