Wonderful vendors offering wonderful choices. Most of the vendors were inside the Chamber building staying warm except a few brave souls who still have fresh veggies. Turnips and greens, squash and radish, lettuce and spinach, too.

The Red Bean Harvest table moved indoors to offer their coffee, teas, and hot chocolate which was greatly appreciated by everyone feeling the chill. Our market is a welcoming place of comfort and camaraderie, plus the place to be to feel the holiday spirit rising.

So many choices of homemade goodies, gifts, decorations and more. Michelle Winters has Miss Piggy’s Pork Skins, including cracklins’. An old timey snack that is still popular today, especially with the low carb craze. To be exact, they have zero carbs and a great satisfying crunch.

The Heflins made some punched tin candle holders that really sets the scenery for holiday decoration with the different patterns for candle light with added ribbons and pine needles. Use with real candles or flameless LED tealights for a lovely glow around your home or to give your porch that extra special touch.

If you’re planning ahead, Paulette Moxley of Sunny Side Farms offers up many choices for your pantry. Pickles, chow chow and jellies to begin with. Soups in a Jar are very decorative with their many colorful layers of beans, peas, rice, seasonings, noodles, and pasta. They would make a great gift, too. Sunny Side Farms also offers meat for the freezer; beef, pork, lamb, and chicken. It’s a great way to stock up for the coming new year.

Our next market and last for the year is the 22nd. It will be open from 9-12 inside the Pickens Co. Extension Office/Chamber of Commerce building.  Vendor and chef Zach Henson will have a cooking demonstration in the kitchen at 10 a.m.  There will be a drawing for a Red Velvet cake with white chocolate icing, made especially for a lucky winner. The cake is being made and donated by Irene Neal.  Could it be you? Please come to shop our market for last minute gifts, treats, décor, or even everyday useful items specially made by our vendors.
