Jasper Middle School now has a Junior Beta Club. This is Jasper Middle School’s first Beta Club as a fifth and sixth grade school. There are 117 Beta Club members. The club earned the National Beta School of Distinction for their large membership this year.

On November 27th, Jasper Middle School had its Junior Beta Club Induction in the Auditorium of the Historical Building. The students recited the Beta pledge and presented the Beta Keys of membership, which are achievement, character, leadership and service. To possess the key of achievement, you must achieve the tasks you have

undertaken and earned good grades in school, for some examples.

To possess the key of character, you must have dependability, justice, humility, compassion and integrity. To possess the key of leadership, you must have great influence upon other people, and you have to possess the keys of achievement and character. To possess the key of service, you must have the ability to open the doors of the heart of mankind, for example, when you help someone, you are implying the key of service. The Beta Club’s first service project was a canned food drive partnered with State Farm, Parish Lowrie Insurance and Financial Services, Inc. The club will have more service projects soon.
