Entries now being accepted for our next photo contest.The entry must be easily recognizable as a photo of a fireplace (not just happen to have a fireplace somewhere in it) or it will not qualify.

Digital Photo - E-mail your digital photos to dhowell@pickensprogress.com Be sure to put "Photo Contest Entry" in the subject line. If you don't get a reply the next couple of business days that acknowledges your entry, please call about it at 706-253-2457, ask for Damon.
Print Photo - Either mail your photo to Pickens Progress, c/o Damon Howell P.O. Box 67, Jasper, GA 30143 (Postmark by June 22, 2008 or entry will NOT be accepted.) Or deliver it in person to 94 N. Main Street (a block north of the Courthouse in Jasper)
Rules: Only one photo per person may be entered. It must be a current, original work. It must be ok to show to children. Double/multiple entries will be withdrawn. Local photos of Pickens County are encouraged.
Voting: Photos will be posted on our website for viewing and voting. The winner, honorable mention, and Progress staff choice will be announced on our website after votes are tallied.
Contest winner: The winner of the photo contest will receive $50 plus get their photo printed in the Progress. Circulation for the print edition is 7,800. |
