Samuel Knighton Jr.
Samuel Errol Knighton Jr, 65, of Jasper, Georgia passed away Saturday, September 28, 2019 at Northside Hospital Sandy Springs. He was born March 30, 1954 to Samuel Errol Sr and Irene Knighton.
Mr. Knighton is survived by his wife, Susan Knighton of Jasper; daughter and son-in-law Melanie and Brian Weese of Brunswick; sister and brother in law, Gay and Denis Brooks of Georgetown, brothers in law, Art and Debbie Lampe of St. Louis, Jerry and Robin Lampe of St. Louis, nephews Keith and Nancy and Ken and Kim Brooks of Albany.
A memorial service will be held Friday, October 4, 2019 at 2 p.m. at Cornerstone Church, 145 Cornerstone Dr, Jasper, GA 30143.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Samaritan Operation Christmas Child in care of Cornerstone Church in Mr. Knighton's memory.

Ruth Burgess Roland, 86, of Jasper, passed away Saturday, September 28, 2019 at Northside Cherokee. She was born July 27, 1933 to Carter and Mamie Burgess in Canton, Georgia.
Ruth is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Dianne and Michael Hicks of Jasper, Susan and Phillip Taylor of Jasper; son and daughter-in-law, Bill and Connie Roland of Jasper; grandchildren, Jess Hicks, Jacob Hicks and Victoria Maynez, Sarah Hicks, Lindsey and AJ Hammond, Colby and Brooke Taylor, Devlin Roland and Bethany Goley, Caitlin Roland, Shanda and Jeff Freeman, Dana and Cody Ryal; great-grandchild, Lottie Hammond; sister, Faye Weeks of Jacksonville; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Don and Nancy Roland of Jasper; sisters-in-law, Patricia Roland of Jasper and Sandy Roland of Jasper. Many nieces, nephews, and other relatives also survive.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Roland; daughter, Linda Roland Patterson; sisters, Lucille Burgess, Gladys Harris; brothers, Glen Burgess and Paul Burgess.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m., Monday, September 30, 2019 at the Chapel of Roper Funeral Home and Crematory with Kevin Roper officiating. Interment followed in Sunrise Memorial Gardens.
The family accepted flowers or donations in Ruth's honor may be made to Susan G. Komen.

George Duvall Baker, 82, of Jasper, passed away Wednesday, September 25, 2019 at his home. He was born March 28, 1937 to Oattis and Edyth Baker.
Mr. Baker is survived by his children, Allen Baker of Leesburg Alabama; Angela and Doug Bramlett of Fairmount; Samuel and Linda Baker of Rome; sisters, Elaine Leroy of Jenkinsburg and Cathy Qualls, grandchildren, Brittany, Lindsi and Whitney Bramlett, several nieces, nephews and other relatives survive.
He is preceded by his wives Marie Thomason Baker and Sybil Westbrook Baker.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, September 28, 2019 at County Line Baptist Church with Reverend Gerald Young officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery.
