Cycling speaker at library March 1

biker me riding past the buddhas

Hirsch passes Buddhas in Tibet. Listen to him describe the six-years cycling, at the Pickens library.

Hirsch, the cyclist who spent six years crossing the globe, will speak on the second half of his journey Thursday, March 1 at the Pickens library at 6:30 p.m.

Originally scheduled as one talk,  the amount of content, led to a second-installment.

In part 1, the cyclist, now in Talking Rock working on a book of the adventure, covered North and South America.

Part 2 will cover the years spent crossing Europe and Asia.

The lively speaker tosses out plenty of colorful stories about roadside encounters.

The talk is free and sponsored by the Mountain Conservation Trust of Georgia.
