CROSSFEST to feature Rock Of Christ

church Rock of Christ Band

Rock Of Christ will be among the many Christian musical sounds at CROSSFEST

CROSSFEST was created to be a community-wide Christian Festival for the whole family. One of the most important goals this year is for the Church to come together and provide an end-of-Summer blessing to our local families and communities.

This year's CROSSFEST is set to take place on Saturday, July 21st from 2 to 9 p.m. at Lee Newton Park in Jasper. The event is free admission for everyone. The only cost will be if you choose to buy from one of the art, craft or specialty item vendors at the event.

Fun for the whole family, CROSSFEST will have a waterslide, bounce house and all kinds of activities for children and youth. Lots of our community partners will have booths at this event with giveaways for everyone.

The event will feature Christian bands from all around north Georgia and will present a variety of Christian musical sounds.  One of the bands, Rock of Christ, or, R.O.C., comes from the Blue Ridge area and will bring in a powerful combination of talent and years of experience.  ROC, known for their classic rock, blues and country styles will be the first band in the lineup.  They will begin promptly at 2 p.m., so fans will want to be there early if they don't want to miss them.

CROSSFEST this year will also include a free meal for everyone as long as it lasts. While there will also be some hamburgers and other foods on sale in the park, event planners hope to giveaway over 1,000 free meals this year.  The event will also feature door prizes with many chances to win.

The festival team is also proud to announce that this year, we will be featuring drama groups, dance groups, and musical guests from different churches around north Georgia as a special part of this event. One of those guests will be the Harvest Missionary Church Choir from Ellijay scheduled to sing some time around mid-afternoon.

Local churches who want to contribute to the free meal can donate items like baked beans, potato chips and drinks and this will greatly appreciated.  Families are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or a blanket to sit on as seating at the park is limited, and, as always, remember the sunscreen and drink lots of water while at the park.  For more information, contact us at This email address is being protected from spambots.
