‘Prime Time’ to purchase great books in Pickens County

Amazon Prime Days are known for offering amazing deals on many items for two days only. The Friends of the Pickens Library are offering not just two, but three days of wonderful deals on a huge selection of books, movies, and music at bargain prices.

For a limited time you can make this an even better deal.  You have a once-a-year opportunity to take advantage of part of the benefits of being a member of The Friends of Pickens Library during Prime Days. We will kick off our annual used book sale at Chattahoochee Tech for members only from 4–6 p.m.

on Thursday, Sept. 5th, offering first choice on thousands of titles. The membership fee of $15 gives you access to this amazing opportunity – but wait. We will give your entire family memberships for an additional charge of $15 then everyone can take advantage of these incredible deals. Visit our website at to easily complete or renew your membership requirements online and find additional information about FOPL. You will then be greeted at the door as a member.

Two additional prime days on Friday, the 6th, from 9 a.m.–6 p.m. and Saturday, the 7th, from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. will be offered to the public with bargains in all categories including children, young adult, fiction, non-fiction, classics and many more.  Prices range from .25 cents for select toddlers’ books to $1 - $2 for adult paperback and hardback volumes.  Rare, first editions and exceptional finds will be offered at a slightly higher charge.

Cash, checks, credit cards and debit cards will be accepted at check out.
