Annual Meeting of Amicalola EMC Membership moved to October 8, Hurricane Ian forces meeting to be rescheduled

Jasper, GA) According to current weather forecasts, heavy rains and high winds as a result of Hurricane Ian are likely in north Georgia Friday and Saturday. Current forecast models show heavy rain Friday night through Saturday with accumulations between 2” to 4” locally. Wind speeds of up to 20-25 mph are possible with gusts up to 40+ mph.

Potential related impacts include downed tree limbs and possible power outages. At this time, Amicalola EMC employees are making preparations in the event power outages do occur.

For the safety and well-being of all Amicalola EMC members and employees, and in light of the fact that all employees may be involved with power restoration efforts, our board of directors have rescheduled the annual meeting of the membership to Saturday, October 8, 2022. Registration will be open from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., but we were unable to secure entertainment for the rescheduled meeting date. The business session will be called to order at 1:30 p.m. Thank you for your patience and your understanding.
