Auditions have been announced for 2025’s first play. This is a great comedy called Four Weddings and an Elvis. The play needs 4 women and 6 men, with a 7th man in a very small one-line role. Various ages, from 25 to 70. This is your chance to get on stage. Come to the theater on December 22 at 6PM or December 23 at 6:30 PM and read for a part. Newbies are welcome. The show will open on February 21 and run for three weekends. Once you read it, you will want to be it!
Meanwhile, this weekend, December 13,14,15, is your last chance to see our Southern Fried Yuletide Comedy called Christmas Belles. This play will absolutely ring your bells! Tickets are almost gone, so get yours in advance at www.taterpatchplayers.org. With eleven actors the stage is full and even extends to the far ends to keep the audience in the loop.
Can you believe that pancakes caused a near disaster? Well, come and see this wonderful Tater Patch Players presentation by Jessie Jones, Nickolas Hope, and Jamie Wooten just in time for the Holidays! The best parts are about secrets and surprises…. or maybe the best parts are about family? Or perhaps it’s about revenge! All this and more will keep you guessing and laughing as the annual church Christmas play is planned and executed by some very wonderful TPP actors.
Nancy Loy, April Miller, and Kerry Rosewall as Frankie, Twink, and Honey Raye, play the three somewhat infamous Futrelle sisters from Fayro, Texas. These ladies fill their roles so well they keep the sister’s reputations intact. J. Calvin Smith plays Frankie’s hubby, “Dub” Dubberly, a/k/a the reluctant Santa, and determined father. Dynamic Duo, Audrey Kirsten and Steve Lewis, long time Taters effectively return as Miss Geneva, the unhappy ‘former’ play director with an agenda and happy, simple Raynerd Chisum, who “Loves Christmas” and without an agenda saves the day. Betsy Robbe plays Gina Jo, the Dubberley’s dutiful daughter who leads a merry chase away from the bewildered Preacher, Justin Waverly, played by Gary Collier, a man of many prayers. Rhonda Lynn Lampley played by Carrie Cochems keeps the audience giggling with her many quirky expressions. And Eve Sauer wonderfully plays the snooty Patsy Price who bedevils the sisters. Will she succeed in shaming the ladies? Will Sheriff John Curtis Buntner (TPP alumni Alex Nawrocki) succeed in keeping his prisoner? Will the prankster be found? Will the Christmas show be a hit or miss? Will Elvis show up? So many questions and so many answers that you will have come and see how it turns out. You will not be disappointed!
