Community Bank of Pickens County is thrilled to celebrate a major milestone—25 years of service to the local community.
Founded in 2000 with just 13 employees, the bank has grown to employ 66 staff members. The bank operates two full-service locations, a Small Business Administration (SBA) office in Jasper and a Loan Production office (LPO) in Canton. The bank also operates 14 ATMs across Pickens and Cherokee counties.
Four original employees, Ryan Keeter, Kim Southern, Lisa Owens and Lisa Watkins, remain a part of our team. Additionally, four founding board members, Don Keeter, Mickey Dunn, Bobby James and Frank Eubanks, continue leadership roles within the bank.
Throughout the past 25 years, the bank has faced both challenges and triumphs. During the economic recession which began in 2008, the bank worked diligently to provide leadership and support to local businesses and our community.
Again in 2020, during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, the bank played a vital role in supporting local businesses through the Paycheck Protection Program. The funding made available through this program helped businesses maintain staff and continue operations during this difficult period.
Ryan Keeter, President/CEO commented, “As we reflect on the past 25 years, the bank has seen incredible growth. This would not have been possible without the investment of our shareholders, the leadership of our Board of Directors, and the dedication of our staff. We appreciate the support of our community and value all the relationships we have developed. As we begin the next 25 years, we look forward to continuing to deliver the highest quality financial products and customer service.”
