Consider Volunteering for Community Theater

Tater Patch Players
I was volunteering as an usher this past weekend at Tater Patch Players. I learned that the current show, Boca by Jessica Provenz, is a laugh-out-loud, hysterical play.
Sitting in the theater, I enjoyed both the play and the audience’s enthusiasm. There is only one more weekend left to see this hilarious show, so get your tickets now. Tickets are available in advance at taterpatchplayers.org.
There are lots of opportunities to become part of Tater Patch Players.
One of the most fun is to volunteer for “front of house.” This can be anything from ushering to serving refreshments to sweeping up after the show.
It can be a great introduction to the fun of your community theater and its members, both on stage and behind the scenes.
If you think you might be interested, please email taterpatchplayers@gmail.com. Put “front of house” in the subject line and leave your contact information.
Someone will get in touch and discuss the opportunities with you.
Tater Patch Players has four more main shows this year. Details on these will be featured here soon. You may stay in the know not only in the “Pickens County Progress”, but on our Facebook page and our website.
And speaking of new shows…. We are already hard at work planning our 2027 season. Is there a play you’ve seen that you really like? It may be something we can bring here to our Tater audiences. Please email us with any suggestions. We have certain factors to consider, such as casting, scenery, and lighting requirements, but we will certainly give YOUR suggestions a fair evaluation as we look to the future.
Meanwhile, don’t forget to order your tickets for Boca for its final weekend at Tater Patch Players. Remember, if it’s entertaining, it’s Tater Patch.
