Final weekend coming for Tater Patch’s Christmas production A Candle in the Window

            This is the final weekend for Tater Patch Players’ wonderful performance of A Candle in the Window by L. Don Swartz. 

            There are shows at 7:30 on Friday and Saturday, December 8 and 9 and at 2 on December 10.  The wonderful story of a meeting of strangers, stranded by a storm, has delighted audiences for the past two weekends.  Now you have one more chance to get tickets.               They may be bought in advance online at www.taterpatchplayers.org.             The exceptional cast, aged from 8 to 80, and with experience from first-time actors to “too many shows to count!” has blended and bonded together so well that each performance is Broadway-worthy. They would like to entertain you and pass on some of the Christmas spirit and sense of wonder that the play bestows. 

            • The next weekend the Tater Patch Homeschool Drama Group will perform their end of semester play of “A Christmas Crisis” on December 15, 16 and 17 at 2 p.m.  The show is fun for the kids and free to be enjoyed by everyone, although donations to their program are much appreciated.

            • Open auditions are announced for our first show of 2025,  Tennessee Williams’ The Glass Menagerie.  The auditions are December 17 and 18 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the theater. Auditions are by reading from the script and the characters are two women, a middle age woman and her daughter, a young woman and her son, a young man.  Another male,  able to play age 30 – 40s, is the fourth character.  The auditions are open to all matching the approximate ages.  The director will be Stan O’Kelley.

            • The annual meeting of the Tater Patch Players will be January 21 at 2 p.m. at the Tater Patch Players theater at 95 Philadelphia Lane.
