Holy Spirit Ranch Ministries thanks donors for coat drive

132 coats, plus many blankets, gloves, caps really helped as cold snap hit

 By Rev. Joe Betts

I want to thank all of my friends and neighborsand Progress readers who have contributed to the Holy Spirit/ Pickens Progress annual coat drive. Your generous hearts have made this year’s coat drive very successful, helping the homeless and people in need to stay warm.

This year 132 coats and jackets were donated to Holy Spirit Ranch Ministries, plus blankets, gloves and caps. We have been bringing the love of Jesus Christ, food and clothing to homeless people in Atlanta Georgia and locally for many, many years. The quality of the donated coats has been truly remarkable.

I wish you could see the joy on the faces of the folks in need as we have the pleasure of giving them a coat that not only keeps them warm but that also is of good quality and beautiful. This is such an effective way to bring the love of Jesus to the least among us.

I also would like to give a special thanks to Cornerstone Church, Trinity church of Marble Hill and Fellowship Presbyterian Church for their beautiful contributions. This has truly been a community effort.

Holy Spirit Ranch Ministries has also been serving the Lord in the Philippines since 2016. We, as a team in partnership with other churches and organizations in the Philippines, have led many to Jesus, sponsored medical/dental/optical care and purchased and delivered rice to the needy.      We are sponsoring and serving on a medical/dental evangelistic mission this coming April. Approximately 3000 Filipinos in very remote villages will be served. Some have never had a medical or dental team to visit. In the near future the Pickens Progress will have a story about how we serve our Lord in the Philippines. Again I thank you for being such a giving community! With the love of Jesus Christ, Pastor Joseph Betts
