Jasper Halloween information for downtown

From City Hall

Halloween is Friday, October 31st and the City will be hosting the annual trick or treat event on Main Street between the hours of 4:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.  We will be returning to our historical practice of closing the block of N Main Street between W Church and DB Carrol Streets, as well as the block of S Main Street between W Church and Spring Streets.

The block closures will start immediately after school traffic has gone through downtown at 4 p.m. and Main Street should be re-opened around 7 p.m.

If your business would like to participate, plan to have your “candy stand” ready to go outside your business around 4 p.m.   For the ones not directly located on Main Street, please feel free to set up around the alley area between LC Tacos and Pendley Creek.

The Jasper Downtown Development Authority is hosting the first ever Halloween on SteGHOUL immediately following trick or treating.  The party will kick off at 6:45 p.m. with a Ride of the Witches bicycle parade that ends on Mark Whitfield Street.

There will be fun activities, a family themed Halloween movie, and lots of good eats.  While Main Street will be re-opened during this event, Mark Whitfield Street between W Church Street and Stegall Dr will be closed (similar to the weekly cornhole event on Thursdays).
