Do YOU have what it takes?
As part of the America 250 Independence Day festivities, the Jasper Lions Club is hosting “Jasper’s Got Talent,” a contest featuring performers of all ages from our area — singers, instrumentalists, dancers.
The first round of competition will be held Wednesday, July 1st beginning at 6 p.m. at Lee Newton Park. Each act will be given five minutes to perform for a panel of judges.
Those who pass the first round will move on to the finals on Thursday, July 2nd, also at 6 p.m. at Lee Newton Park. Be sure to bring your family and friends, because that night will be “People’s Choice.” Votes are cast by putting money in the jar(s) for your favorite(s). The acts with the most money collected in their jars will win — 3rd place will receive $100, 2nd place earns $200, and 1st place will be awarded $300. Winners will be announced on Friday evening, July 3rd at 8 p.m. at Lee Newton Park, and they will be invited to perform on the evening of July 4th between the sets of the featured band leading up to the fireworks. Prize money will be awarded on the evening of July 4th.
Deadline to enter is June 25. Contestants may register one of two ways:
• By filling out the form below and mailing to: Jasper Lions Club “Jasper’s Got Talent” Contest, PO Box 1088, Jasper, GA 30143; OR
• Contestants may also scan and email completed registration forms to georgialions@mac.com
Everyone is invited to see who has talent in our area — come out and support your favorites.
