Jasper Middle School recently received a generous Dollar General Literacy Foundation Grant, providing an opportunity to strengthen student learning through expanded access to books in our library.
This funding was used to purchase a wide variety of high-interest, age-appropriate library books that supported both classroom instruction and independent reading.
The grant came at an ideal time as our school continues to emphasize literacy across all subject areas. With these new resources, students had greater access to engaging stories, diverse perspectives, and books that align with their interests and reading levels.
Research consistently shows that increased access to books leads to improved reading comprehension, vocabulary development, and overall academic success.
We are incredibly grateful for the support of the Dollar General Literacy Foundation. Their commitment to promoting literacy in communities like Pickens County helps ensure that every student has the opportunity to grow as a reader.
This investment will have a lasting impact, not only on our students’ academic achievement but also on their lifelong love of reading.
