David Dilbeck

September 20, 1948 – February 3, 2017

 

Mr. David Dilbeck, 68, of Jasper, passed away Friday, February 3, 2017 at his home.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Ellis Dilbeck.

Survivors include his daughters and sons-in-law, Tonia and Craig Walker of Ball Ground, Melissa and Jason Battles of Calhoun; grandchildren, Dilan Walker of Ball Ground, Brandon Walker of Ball Ground; and sister, Sandra Wood of Calhoun.

The funeral service was held at 2 p.m., Monday, February 6 at the Chapel of Roper Funeral Home with Reverend Scott Day and Reverend Shane Ellis officiating. Interment followed in Sunrise Memorial Gardens.

Arrangements are under the care and direction of Roper Funeral Home and Crematory of Jasper.

Iona Camp

Mrs. Iona Clark Camp,  98, of Jasper passed away Saturday February 4, 2017 at Piedmont Mountainside Hospital. 

Mrs. Camp is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, B.W. and Doris Clark of Talking Rock; and several nieces and nephews. 

The funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Monday, February 6 from the chapel of Cagle Funeral Home with Rev. Kenny Green officiating. Interment at Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery in Ludville. Pallbearers were Jerry Edwards, Jacob Edwards, Adam Barnes, Danny Clark, Doug Clark, and David Clark.

Sue Hermel

    Mrs. Sue Helen Hermel,  82, of Talking Rock, passed away Sunday February 5, 2017 at Pruitt Health in Blue Ridge. 

Mrs. Hermel is survived by her husband, Tony Hermel of Talking Rock; son, Hayden Hermel of California; and sister, Rhoda Neighbors of Jasper. 

The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 8 at Philadelphia Baptist Church with Rev. Grant Wade and Rev. Gene Childers officiating. Interment at Philadelphia Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers were Mark Blackwell, Jimmy Blackwell, Joel Neighbors, Josh Neighbors, David Moe, and John Weatherhead.
