Agayla Jane Young, 55, of Jasper, Georgia, passed away Monday, April 24, 2023 at her home. She was born August 25, 1967 to Richard and Beverly White in Jasper, Georgia.
Agayla is survived by her husband, Gerald Young of Jasper; daughter, Autumn Young of Jasper; son, Reid Young of Jasper; mother, Beverly White of Jasper; brother and sister-in-law, Rick and Cindy White of Jasper; nieces and nephews, Chelsie White, DeLauren Brown, Chandler White, Case White, Colby White, Kendall White; great-nieces and great-nephews, Abagail Prucka, Nora White, Emerson White and Foster Brown.
She was preceded in death by her father, Richard H. White; brother, Van White; grandparents, Jim Sims, Janie Sims, W. M. White, and Addie Mae White.
The family will be receiving friends at Roper Funeral Home, Thursday, April 27, 2023 from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Trevor Buchanan
Trevor Maurice Buchanan, 65, of Jasper, Georgia, passed away peacefully at his home on 12th April 2023. He was born on 27th January 1958, to Cyril and Kathleen Buchanan in Northern Ireland.
Much loved husband and soulmate of July.
Dad to Nick and Mikey, and Robert, Dixie and Billy.
Proud Grandad to Aurora.
Brother to Irwin, Roland and Lorna.
Trevor was quick with a smile, and had a caring and gentle heart, he will be greatly missed.
He loved the foothills of north Georgia, and the great outdoors.
The song “Go rest high on that mountain” by Vince Gill was one of his favourites.
At peace and resting now.

Bonnie Satterfield
Bonnie Satterfield, 86, of Canton, GA passed away Wednesday, April 26, 2023 at her residence. Bonnie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great great grandmother.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., on Saturday, April 29, 2023, from the Macedonia Baptist Church with Rev. Terry Caylor officiating. Interment followed at Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery.
She was preceded in death by, Parents: Thomas and Luvenia Chamlee, Brothers: Dewey Chamlee, Reuben Chamlee, Sisters: Inez Chester, and Aline McGahee.
Survivors include her husband of over 71 years, George Satterfield; son & daughter-in-law, Stanley & Barbara Satterfield; daughter & Son-in-law, Cheryl & Wayne Padgett; daughter & Son-in-law, Kristiena & Trey Walker; grandchildren, Amy Jusak, Tracy Bedgood, Hannah Newton Ford, Dorothy Ingebrigtsen; great-grandchildren, Gabbie Ingebrigtsen, Kennedi Newton, Taylor Bedgood, Hunter Bedgood; great-great grandson, Luke Walker; several nieces, nephews, other family, friends, and church family also survive.

Susan Shealey
Susan Marie Shealey, 63, of Ball Ground, Georgia, passed away Friday, April 28, 2023 at her home. She was born May 21, 1959 to Jack Alfred Kilgore and Mary Jane Biddy in Tate, Georgia.
Susan is survived by her husband, George Walker Shealey of Ball Ground; daughter and son- in-law, Nichole and DJ Lambrix; son and daughter-in-law, Walker and Shelly Shealey of Jasper; grandchildren, William Shealey, Bascomb Shealey, Porter Shealey, Krislynn Shealey; brother and sister-in-law, Casey and Kim Kilgore of Canton. Several nieces, nephews, and other relatives also survive.
She was preceded in death by her sisters, Judy Kilgore, Deborah Chastain, Karen Smith, and brother, Marshall Kilgore.
Funeral services were held Monday, May 1, 2023 at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Roper Funeral Home with Chaplain Angie Brown officiating. Interment followed in the Fairview Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will be accepting flowers.

Rita Miller
Rita Sue Miller, 71, of Talking Rock, Georgia, formerly of Atlanta and Duluth, passed away Friday, April 21, 2023 at her home. She was born September 21, 1951 in Atlanta. Rita graduated from Southwest Dekalb High School in 1969 and later worked at Home Depot Store 131 in Duluth. She loved working in the Garden Center with her beautiful flowers. She then worked for Scotts Miracle-Grow Lawn Services in Norcross.
Rita is survived by her daughter, Angie Miller of Talking Rock, formerly of Duluth; son, Scott Miller of Camp Verde, Arizona, formerly of Duluth; grandson, Tyler James Miller of Arizona; brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Karen Carlan of Buford, Georgia. Many cousins in Atlanta, Stone Mountain, and Cornelia also survive.
She was preceded in death by her aunt and uncle, who raised her, Lamar and Betty Tench; brother, Greg Tench; grandfather, Thomas Carlan; grandmother, Rosa Carlan; aunt, Margaret Prater.
Rita was a loving mother, grandmother, friend, and sister to many. She loved her children and there was nothing she wouldn’t do for them. She was devoted to Jesus and loved serving him faithfully. She was a Prayer Warrior who prayed for many, was a woman of Proverbs which she read over and over. She believed in “Feed My Sheep” and served God well in doing that.

Jessie Suggs Jr., 74, a Marine Corps Veteran of Canton, Georgia passed away on April 27th, 2023.

Ray Strickland
Johnny Ray Strickland, 70, of Jasper, Georgia, passed away Monday, May 1, 2023. Ray was born October 3, 1952 to Herbert and Blanche Strickland in Canton, Georgia.
Ray is survived by his daughters, Kerry Strickland and Heather Stevens of Jasper, Leigh and Kevon Combs of Alto; special cousins (close as siblings), Jerrie Butler of Jasper and Barry Butler of Jasper; uncle, Uncle Jim Lawson; step-daughters, Brooke Defoor Whittle of Toccoa, Lauren Moavero of Toccoa. Several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and cousins also survive.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Herb and Blanche Strickland; son, Matt Strickland; and wife, Susan Strickland.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, May 5, 2023 in the Chapel of Roper Funeral Home with Jerrie Butler officiating.
The family will be receiving friends at Roper Funeral Home, Thursday, May 4, 2023 from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m.

Mrs. Becky Buchanan, 57, of Jasper, passed away Thursday, April 27, 2023 at her residence.
Mrs. Buchanan is survived by her husband, Jeff Buchanan of Jasper; mother, Mollie Oswald of Cumming; stepson, Jon Buchanan of Jasper; stepdaughter, Misty Stone of Ludville Community; sisters, Jennifer Shoemake of Cumming, and Deana Smith of Cumming; grandchildren, Jake Buchanan, Kobie Buchanan, Madison Stone, and Alaina Stone; two great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at 4 p.m. Saturday, April 29, 2023 at Cagle Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Ben Mock officiating.
Interment was at Sunrise Memorial Gardens Chapel Mausoleum, following the funeral services.
Pallbearers: Scott Thomas, Michael Buchanan, Casey Shoemake, Kyle Kammers, Everett Magruder, and Alex Smith.

Russell Eugene Burger, 75, of Chatsworth, Georgia, passed away Monday, May 1, 2023 at his home in Chatsworth. He was born July 16, 1947 to Guy and Louise Burger in Chatsworth.
Russell is survived by his wife, Rosemary Burger of Chatsworth; son, Rusty Burger of Cartersville; daughter and son-in-law, Michele and Drew Patterson of Jasper; two stepsons; grandchildren, Payton Clark, Tucker Clark; seven step-grandchildren; seven step-great-grandchildren; special great-grandchild, Brooklyn Thomason; siblings, David Burger, and Donna Weaver. Several other relatives also survive.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Guy and Louise Burger; wife, Joan Burger; siblings, Barbara Martin, Audrie Long, Alice Goodwin, Daniel Burger, Virginia Hodges, Tony Burger, and Jackie Burger.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, May 3, 2023 in the Chapel of Roper Funeral Home with Reverend Grant Wade officiating. Interment will follow in the Free Hope Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Carolyn Beck, 79, of Ball Ground, passed away Tuesday, April 25, 2023 at Wellstar Kennestone Hospital.
Mrs. Beck is survived by her sons and daughter-in-law, Steve Lee Beck of Ball Ground, and Ricky & Dawn Beck of Ball Creek; daughters and sons-in-law, Gloria & Mikle Foster of Jasper, and Brenda & David Pendley of Jasper; grandchildren, Jared Pendley, Baylee (Jacob) Webb, Matthew Beck, Olivia Beck, and Mikle Foster, Jr & (Shelby); great-grandchildren, Jake Webb, Liz Foster, and Maggie Foster; brothers-in-law, Jim Gibson, Larry Beck, and Jimmy Beck; sisters-in-law, Shirley Morris, and Brenda Cheek; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roger Beck; granddaughters, Megan Foster and Molly Foster.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 29, 2023 at Cagle Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Jerry Cantrell officiating.
Interment was at Mount Vernon Baptist Church Cemetery, following the funeral service.
Pallbearers: Matthew Beck, David Pendley, Jared Pendley, Mikle Foster Sr., Kenneth Beck, and Tony Gibson.
