Walter, known fondly as Walt/Wally, was born in Detroit, MI on November 6, 1942, to Walter and Jenny Morawa. Walt was an enthusiastic lover of life, who never met a stranger. Laughs and smiles followed him everywhere he went, and he loved to have fun (sometimes mischievously) with friends, family, and strangers alike.
He loved to travel, especially to Germany, and traveled frequently with his family and friends. He took advantage of every opportunity to create new memories and adventures and visited his favorite Germany highlights in April. His faith was important to him, and he attended mass at Our Lady of the Mountains Catholic Church and volunteered for SVdP.
Walt is survived by his wife, Janet, of 62 years of Jasper, GA, daughters, Brenda Morawa and Heather Morawa of Atlanta, GA, and Crystal Green (and husband, Ric) of Pompano Beach, FL and his son Walter Julius Morawa (and wife, Elizabeth) of Woodstock, GA.
Walt also was blessed with 5 grandchildren, Maria Putzke (and husband, Tim) of
Buffalo, NY, Walter Morawa of Atlanta, GA, Katherine Sieja (and husband, Nick) of Oahu, Hawaii, Andrew Morawa (and fiancée, Ally) of Atlanta, GA and Luca Horn-Morawa of Atlanta, GA, as well as 3 great-grandchildren Chiara and Siobhan Putzke and Thomas Sieja. Walt will be greatly missed, and we will hold him in our hearts forever.
