Frank DeLoach Jr.
Frank DeLoach, Jr., 73, of Jasper, passed away Monday, September 6, 2021 at Piedmont Mountainside Hospital. Graveside services are scheduled for 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, September 30, 2021 at the Georgia National Cemetery with Rev. Jimmy Gayton officiating. Mr. DeLoach served in the U.S. Army and also served as a firefighter in Chatham County. He was an avid animal lover and loved being outdoors. Frank enjoyed traveling and fixing anything and everything. His motto was "Do something good for someone today." He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Mamie DeLoach and two sisters, Mary Gill and Jean Myrick Gober. Survivors include his wife, Myra Gayton DeLoach; daughter, Shelli Nicholson; six loving step-children; two grandchildren, Malena Nicholson and Ella Korff; seventeen step-grandchildren; sister, Joyce Strickland; best friend, Larry; as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. Carolyn Pawlicki
Carolyn Darlene Pawlicki, 62, of Woodstock, Georgia passed away Monday, September 13, 2021. She was born March 24, 1959 to Roy and Judy Lewis in Calhoun, Georgia. Darlene is survived by her husband of 29 years, Gerald Pawlicki of Woodstock; mother, Judy Padgett of Jasper; sister and brother-in-law, Terrie and Mike Wofford of Jasper; brother and sister-in-law, Rex and Joyce Langley of Jasper; sister Lori Rezutko of Jasper; brothers-in-law, Edward Pawlicki of Woodstock, James Pawlicki of Monroe, Michigan, Raymond Pawlicki of Lincoln Park, Michigan; sister-in-law, Elizabeth "Sue" Bacon of Portage, Michigan. Several nieces, nephews and other family members also survive. She was preceded in death by her father, Roy Lewis. A Celebration of Life was held at 2 p.m., Friday, September 17, 2021 at the Woodstock Church of Christ. Arrangements are entrusted to the staff of Roper Funeral Home and Crematory.


Karen Dagley
Karen Pearl Dagley, 58, of Jasper, Georgia passed away Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at Northside Hospital Cherokee in Canton. She was born March 5, 1963. Karen is survived by her companion, Michael Kirkland of Jasper; son, Chris (Amanda) Worden of Acworth; son, Jeff Worden of Ball Ground; daughter, Lindsey Gabovitch of Ellijay; daughter, Amanda (Chris) Turpin of Ellijay; siblings, Debbie Alger of Acworth, Douglas Worden, Jr. of Acworth, Sherry (Darvin) Pickelsimer of Jasper; 7 grandchildren; step-father, W.T. Moore of Suwanee; step-brothers, Jerry Moore of Suwanee and Larry Moore of Suwanee. Numerous nieces, nephews, and many other loving family members and dear friends also survive. She was preceded in death by her father, Douglas Worden, Sr.; mother, Nanna M. Moore; granddaughter, Raelynn Turpin; brother, Duane Worden; step-sisters, Lori Moore and Wilma D. Adams. The funeral service was held at 2 p.m., Saturday, September 18, 2021 in the Chapel of Roper Funeral Home. Interment followed in Chastain Memorial Park in Fannin County. Gene Chapman
William "Gene" Chapman, 75, of Nelson, Georgia passed away Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at WellStar Kennestone Hospital in Marietta. He was born July 18, 1946 to Hoyt and Gladys Chapman in Macon, Georgia. Gene is survived by his wife, Glenda Chapman of Nelson; children, Tina and Scott Jordan of Ball Ground; Jeannia Chapman of Nelson, Steven "Brother" and Susie Chapman of Talking Rock; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; sisters, Louise Stokes of Woodstock, Hazel Stokes of Macon; sister and brother-in-law, Gail and Jacky Jarrett of Nelson. Many nieces, nephews, and other relatives also survive. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Friday, September 17, 2021 at Bethesda Baptist Church with Reverend Ryan Wilson, Reverend Jimmy Chester and Reverend Evan Howell officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery with E.W. Hightower Lodge #679 in charge of Masonic graveside rites. Pallbearers were Mark Eubanks, Ricky Eubanks, Corey Voyles, Lamar Holden, Jacob Chapman, Lane Jordan, Brenton Sperin, and Philip Wofford. Honorary pallbearers were Randall Chapman, Shane Popham, and Jamie Gaddis. Arrangements are entrusted to the staff of Roper Funeral Home and Crematory.


Shirley Whitaker
Shirley Faye Whitaker, 88, of Jasper, Georgia passed away Thursday, September 16, 2021. She was born January 24, 1933 to Joseph Fonzie and Myra Lucretia Cook in Fairmount, Georgia. Shirley was known and loved by many people in Pickens County where she served on the Pickens County Board of Education for several years. Shirley is survived by daughters, Sherry Headrick of Jasper, Liz Patrick of Jasper; daughter and son-in-law, Jackie and Richard Gaddis of Jasper; son David Whitaker of Jasper; sister, Carol Lucretia Cook of Kennesaw; grandchildren, Marty Gaddis, Stacey Thacker, Lori Headrick, Ashley Davis, Joshua Whitaker, Sam Whitaker, Emily Whitaker, John Phares, Adam Phares; great-grandchildren, Abigale Montgomery, Jacob Assad, Trip Davis, Lola Gaddis, Brady Gaddis, Noah Thacker, Charlie Thacker, Malakai Phares, Quigley Whitaker, Isiah Clay, Connie Turner, Titus Turner, and Skylar Johnson. Many other friends and relatives also survive. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Whitaker and son, Jimmy Whitaker. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Sunday, September 19, 2021 in the Chapel of Roper Funeral Home with Reverend Nathan Smith and Reverend Daryl Bailey officiating. Interment followed in the Philadelphia Baptist Church Cemetery in Jasper. Arrangements are entrusted to the staff of Roper Funeral Home and Crematory.

Edna Watson
Edna Watson, 76, of Blue Ridge, Georgia passed away Saturday, September 18, 2021 at her home. She was born September 4, 1945 to Lance and Lois Carver in Pickens County. Edna is survived by her husband, Emory Watson of Blue Ridge; sons and daughters-in-law, Tony and Samantha Watson of Sonoraville, Kevin and Tara Watson of Macon; grandson, Cooper Watson; brother, James Carver of Calhoun; sister-in-law, Judy Carver; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, September 21, 2021 in the Chapel of Roper Funeral Home. Interment followed in the Hinton Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to the staff of Roper Funeral Home and Crematory.

Rose Priest
Rose Ree Priest, 59, of Talking Rock, Georgia passed away Thursday, September 16, 2021 at Piedmont Mountainside Hospital. She was born June 7, 1962 in Pickens County.
Ree is survived by her siblings, Glenn Priest of Jasper, Ronnie Priest of Canton, Mick Priest of Talking Rock, Martie Weaver of Talking Rock, Auby Priest of Talking Rock, Timmy Priest of Talking Rock, and Jimmy Priest of Jasper. Several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews also survive.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Grady Priest and Fannie Priest Morrow; and her brother, Dennis Priest.
A Memorial Service will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, September 25, 2021 at Town Creek Baptist Church Outdoor Pavilion in Talking Rock, Georgia.
The family asks anyone who wishes to send flowers, bring a small potted plant or small arrangement to the service. Anyone who wishes to bring a food dish is invited to do so. Also the family would like for everyone to wear purple in honor of Ree.
Ree’s ashes will be scattered over her mother and father’s graves in the church cemetery.

Kayla Gable

Mrs. Kayla Lee Gable, 38, of Jasper, passed away Monday, September 20, 2021 at Piedmont Mountainside Hospital. Kayla is survived by her husband, Maxwell Gable of Jasper; father and stepmother, Allen & Rebecca Garrett of Ellijay; grandmothers, Joyce Garrett of Acworth, and Frances Kuykendall of Ellijay; stepbrother and sister-in-law, Justin & Amber Godfrey of Jasper; sister, Michelle Garrett of Ellijay; nephew, Evan Godfrey. She is preceded in death by her mother, Angela Garrett. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, September 23, 2021 at Cagle Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Allen Garrett officiating. Interment will be at Lake Forest Memorial Park following the funeral service. The family will accept flowers, but prefer donations to help with funeral expenses. Mr. Joe Clark, 74, of Jasper, passed away Thursday, September 16, 2021 at Seasons Hospice in Cumming.
Mr. Clark is survived by his wife, Ann Clark of Jasper, son, Wes Clark of Jasper; daughter and son-in-law, Jill & Joseph Warren of Tate; brother and sister-in-law, Gene & Joyce Clark of Jasper; sister and brother-in-law, Louise & Ronnie Parker of Cartersville; three grandchildren, Scotty Holbert, Anna Kay Warren, and Tristen Warren; several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, September 19, 2021 at Sunrise Memorial Gardens, with Rev. Buck Parker officiating.
Pallbearers: Tony McDonald, Steven McDonald, Scott Clark, Scott Holbert, Brian Poole, and Scotty Holbert.

Buddy is survived by his daughter, Chesnie Reed of Jasper; father and step-mother, James & Renaee Reed of Alpharetta; mother, Tava Waters of Jasper; brothers and sisters-in-law, Daniel & Melissa Reed of Jasper, Randy Reed of Jasper, Paul & Josey Reed of Canton, and Kris Reed of Canton; sister, Jamie Reed of Alpharetta; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. Monday, September 27, 2021 at Yellow Creek Baptist Church Cemetery, with Rev. Curtis Roper officiating.

Darlene is survived by her daughter, Brittany Coker of Hinton Community; mother and step-father, Faye & James Davis of Ellijay; brother and sister-in-law, David & Tina Boling of Hill City; sister and brother-in-law, Diana & Doug Harper of Jasper; nephews, Drew Moss of Calhoun, and Justin Moss of Jasper; niece, Deana Boling of Hill City. She is preceded in death by her son, David Keith Coker. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Friday, September 17, 2021 at Cagle Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Joseph Hightower officiating.
