As the Pickens County Community Thrift Store (CTS) continues to evolve and find ways to better serve our community, we usher in periods of operational change.

Beginning in September of 2024, John Johnson has been a devoted follower of CTS’s core beliefs and has successfully led our nonprofit through a period of significant transition as the interim General Manager.

Now, we are thrilled to announce that Pastor Bob Trowell is picking up the torch. Here is Pastor Bob’s letter to you, our CTS patrons and volunteers.

“For the last 23 years, I have been the president and Director of Timothy House, a men’s Christian Regeneration facility for those struggling with drugs and alcohol. In the last 23 years, I have been led by the Lord to guide men in their search for more of God and less of the world in their lives. It is with this intent, to showing those who have lost their way or who never knew Jesus, that a life with Him in it is so much better than without Him.

My purpose is to help them grow Spiritually, emotionally, and ethically stronger and wiser. I feel this position with the Community Thrift Store is an extension of what God is calling me to do in my life. The mission statement of both of these organizations is very clear: to help others. I’m very excited about this next season and look forward to serving my community even more.”

In His service,

Bob Trowell
