The PHS eSports team is celebrating one of our most successful seasons ever. Our Super Smash Bros. A Squad (Achilles Baker, Fletcher Poole, and Aiden Anderson) entered the state playoffs ranked 13th while our B Squad (Camden Smith, Oscar Martinez, and Eric Malcolm) entered playoffs ranked 18th out of 114 total teams. Both teams won in the first round and advanced to the round of 16. Unfortunately, our B Squad took a hard fought loss and ended a great season there. Our A Squad had to reschedule their second round match due to some technical difficulties on the part of our opponent and hopes to continue an amazing season with another victory.
Our Mario Kart team (Luke Soulimiotis, Farah Jones, Eric Malcolm, and Achilles Baker) entered the playoffs ranked 21st out of 89 total teams. We won in extremely dramatic fashion to advance to the round of 16. On Monday, the Mario Kart team won again and advanced to the Elite 8
All of the PHS eSports matches can be viewed via the live stream of all the PHS eSports YouTube channel. Matches typically begin at 4 p.m. on the scheduled date. The Mario Kart team will compete again on Wednesday, April 19.
