PHS Dragonettes regroup during their match against Fannin.

PHS Nettes Basketball team 11-0

The Dragonettes find themselves 11-0 on the season and with early success comes the need to find the drive within to keep getting better.

Last week, the Nettes had a rematch with Fannin and found the Lady Rebels not nearly as content with defeat as they were in their first match up. Fannin scrapped to an early lead and kept the game close throughout on the shoulders of their new all time leading scorer, Courtney Davis. While Courtney managed 21 points on 21 shots, the Nettes held the rest of the Lady Rebels in check on the way to a 56-45 win.

In game two of holiday play at Fannin, the Nettes matched up with the Lady Eagles of North Cobb Christian. It would be another grind as the North Cobb Christian got physical and stifled the Nettes offense. For only the second time this season, Pickens found themselves down at the half. Poor shooting plagued the Nettes in the first half as they went 5 for 30 from the floor. Pickens increased the defensive pressure in the second half to try and kick start the offense and found enough good shots to pull into the lead and grind out a 43-34 win.

The Dragonettes wrapped up games at Fannin vs. North Cobb HS on Friday, December 22nd.
