Poetry 2nd Place: Harvest by Fred Manget

Harvest By Fred Manget

Do this

Cup your hand and break the surface

Of some dark pool

Where water hisses and jeweled

Tomcat eyes burn your brain

Lift the cool wet secret up, up,

Up to meet the marble moon

Rising on its rockets

Between the finger-curled skin

The mirror mirrored

And it follows you, lives in you,

Becomes you

A silver-bellied dragon of dreams.
