Pride of Pickens Marching Band ends season on a high note

The Pride of Pickens Marching Band closed out their 2025 marching season with a spectacular performance at the 46th Old Southeastern Invitational in Newnan, Ga.

Due to new classification guidelines, the band moved up from class A to class AA and faced tougher competitors being the smallest band in their new class. After dazzling the crowd and judges with their 2025 competition show entitled “FRENZY,”  the band received straight superior ratings for drum majors, percussion, colorguard, and overall band. Additionally, the color guard was awarded third place in class AA, and the overall band achieved second place in class AA.

After over 30 rehearsals, 10 football games, 4 competitions, 2 weeks of band camp, an exhibition, and parade, the Pride of Pickens marching season is nearly complete. These students and the community should be incredibly proud of all of their accomplishments. Keep an eye out for the band as they travel to support the PHS Dragons football team at playoffs and perform in the Jasper Veterans Day parade in the coming weeks!
