Ruth House and Habitat celebrate groundbreaking

Submitted by the Ruth House

Amidst a backdrop of hope and promise, the groundbreaking ceremony for the much-anticipated Ruth House transitional home heralded a new chapter in the journey of the women who have graduated from the Ruth House program and triumphed over substance abuse through the love of Jesus Christ.

With shovels in hand and spirits soaring, representatives from Ruth House Ministries, Habitat for Humanity, community leaders, supporters, and stakeholders gathered in unity to commemorate this pivotal moment, underscoring the collective commitment to providing this vital transitional home.

As these Ruth House graduates struggle to find affordable housing, we know from experience that it is critical to the long-term success of recovery that these women do not return to the lives they lived before coming to the Ruth House. The facility will provide a supportive community where women can continue to rebuild their lives with dignity and purpose.

In her address to those gathered, Suzanne Harman, Ruth House Ministries Board President, expressed gratitude to Habitat for Humanity and generous donors for their unwavering support and shared vision that made this initiative possible. “Today we celebrate not only the physical groundbreaking of a new facility but also the groundbreaking of countless new beginnings,” she remarked.

The groundbreaking ceremony serves as a poignant reminder of the profound impact that compassion and solidarity can have in the lives of those in need. By partnering with Ruth House Ministries and Habitat for Humanity, you can help make this Transitional Home a reality as construction continues. Donations are being generously matched up to $50,000.
