Steinhauer breaks Nettes record set in 1974 for individual game field goal percentage

The Nettes started off 2024 right with a win over 2A #7 Model in the Wood Elite Showdown.

On Saturday, January 6th, the Nettes headed over to Teasley Middle School to take on Model in a top 10 non-region match-up. They left with a 77-60 victory, advancing them to 16-0 on the season. Ellison Steinhauer led all scorers with 35 points, going 12-14 from the field and setting a new program record for individual game field goal percentage at 85.7%. This tops the previous record of 84.6% set in 1974. Caroline Mullins added 20 points and 12 rebounds to mark her 9th double double of the season.

As the Nettes move further into January, their focus now shifts to two crucial upcoming region matchups. The Nettes prepare to face White County and Wesleyan, two formidable opponents that will put their skills and undefeated record to the test.
