Come to Be-Paws We Care’s 2nd Annual PAWS-A- PALOOZA; a cause for the paws on Wednesday, Oct. 18, 2023 from 5 to 8 p.m., at the Cairn View Winery, 299 Happy Valley Way, Jasper Ga. (

            Why come to this event? Have the satisfaction of knowing that you are helping homeless animals in need, but also making a positive impact on your community by helping and reducing the homeless, unwanted pet population in our county. Proceeds from this event will help our homeless pets needing medical attention and to subsidize the Low cost Spay/Neuter Initiative Pickens (SNIP) program and the Pickens Community Cat Program (PCCP).

            Here is what is happening that evening…. Cairn View Winery will have a full selection of their wines with a specially crafted PAWS-A-PALOOZA Punch for the evening for purchase along with a variety of beers.

Enjoy the wonderful spread created by Sharp Top Catering…. caprese skewers, assorted savory tartlets, fruit and cheese platter, Asian chicken lettuce wraps and roasted ribeye sandwiches.

            There will be a silent auction and table raffle with prizes ranging from a UGA tailgate package (Value $350) donated by Bigun’s Barbeque that includes 2 tickets to a UGA game and of course a $50  gift certificate for some delicious barbeque, foursomes at Big Canoe, Lake Arrowhead and Callahan Golf Clubs, gift certificates to many our local businesses… 61 Main, Jasper Mountain Home Furnishings & Decor, Gibbs Gardens, Pueblo Grill, Tom’s Awesome Seafood, dog training as well as collectables, gift baskets  and more.  Door Prizes will be drawn throughout the evening.

            Radda’s K9 Campus Boarding and Training ( will be doing a dog demonstration on the front lawn starting at 5:30 p.m.

            “Ask the Trainer” Janelle Blomquist, representing Alan’s K9 Academy ( will be at our event to answer all your training and behavior questions. She’s a Jasper local and a Certified Professional Dog Trainer (CPDT-KA) and worked in large shelters/rescues for 10 years.

            There are a limited number of tickets available.  They can be purchased . Also, you can send a check to BPWC, 361 Oaklands Dr, Talking Rock, Ga. 30175 (by October 10.
