Patriot Day is a United States national observance that honors the memory of those killed in the September 11 attacks. It is not a public holiday; therefore, government offices, educational institutions, and businesses do not close today.
On Patriot Day, the national flag is flown at half-mast on all United States government buildings and establishments. Individuals are encouraged to display banners in their homes.
The Veterans Memorial Park will host the annual national observance of Patriot Day on Monday, September 11, at 11 a.m. This annual ceremony is held at Veterans Memorial Park adjacent to Lee Newton Park. The ceremonies performed at the park indeed reveal the sacrifices every American has made since September 11.
We want to invite everyone to attend this event.
