Tater Patch Players
You’ll be jumping through time looking for clues.
The Tater Patch Players latest production of What is Murder? by Ken Levine will keep you guessing with many flashbacks. With a serious competition coming up soon four Jeopardy contestants check in at an Airbnb to practice but things go awry with murder.
Detective Clenard is challenged to find who murdered Kyle, the most successful of the Jeopardy champions. Was it weirdly dark Eustacia who undergoes a personality reversal? Or was it Nicole the super social media star with big dreams? Perhaps it was money desperate Jerome? Each super smart contestant has a motive and the detective is denounced as incompetent because he failed the Jeopardy test. So begins the investigation.
Tyler Roper fills the role of the smug, super smart champion player Kyle who doesn’t hesitate to make an investment in playing. Joy Jones happily plays the dark side of Eustacia effectively as she has a keen personal interest in Kyle.
Nancy Loy’s flirty Nicole also has an interest in Kyle, to fulfill her future plans. David Johnson swiftly shifts moods as the gambling Jerome, keeping everyone off guard as he needs to win.
Tim Furnish becomes the detective with special skills although he is befuddled, bemused, and baffled. It’s anyone’s guess in this who-dunnit play, and the audience is encouraged to figure it out but, it’s the final scene that needs to be seen! And Please don’t spoil it for anyone who has not seen this quirky murder mystery!
Don’t miss a chance to see this play. There are two more weekends; May 10, 11, 12 and 16, 17, 18 for you to enjoy the fun. Tickets and more info at taterpatchplayers.org.
